Since our launch in 2000, we've applied our 'knowledge and insight' to the complex market for senior interim assignments in the interests of independent portfolio managers and clients alike. But first, let's get one thing clear: we are not an interim agency. We don't act like one; we don't think like one; we don't behave like one; we don't charge like one. We are unique.

In the UK and Europe, there are now more than 150 specialist interim agencies, so in our view the 'eager and expensive' approach is already well catered for. When topinterim started, there were only about 20 of them. Most of this original (and good) group had been senior interims themselves, and could thus provide the benefits of real front-line experience as to how successful projects really work. This is what we now do - very successfully.

Over time, through close interaction with our membership base (which has had a significant influence on the way our online community has developed), we've built a comprehensive understanding of how the global market for senior interim managers really works. And one of the things we know for a certainty is that 'being big' is no solution. That's why the UK group we pioneered in 2000 will never exceed 200 members. And why our next group, in the Far East, will be based on the same unique, tried-and-tested paradigm.

We aim to provide an outstanding shortlist of quality board-level candidates for each senior interim assignment that we handle. At the same time, we charge our clients the lowest rates on the market - by far - for making their selections. Which leaves more potential revenue for you, the candidate.

Last year was another record year for topinterim. We've already successfully served a wide range of blue-chip and government agency clients, and we recently picked up our first project from the European mainland.
